South Metro Fuel Spill

Around 10:30 on October 9th, 2025 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a fuel spill at 12001 E. Caley Ave. in Centennial. Initial reports indicated that the saddle tank on a semi-truck received damage when the vehicle pulled into the parking lot and was leaking up to 100 gallons of fuel. When Engine 31 arrived on scene, firefighters began working to contain the leaking fuel using a dam and dike technique to help isolate the spill. The SMFR Hazmat Team also responded to the scene and used specialized equipment to offload the remaining fuel into a second truck and evaluated the area for any other hazards.
