
Centennial South Clinton Street Fire
South Metro Kitchen Fire
On December 4th, 2025 around 16:50 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a smoke investigation inside the Staybridge Suites, 7150 S. Clinton St. in Centennial. Dispatch advised that 911 caller reporting smoke coming from one of the rooms with a dog inside and smoke in the hallways and the call was upgraded to a reported structure fire. Engine 31 arrived to a large three-story hotel with nothing showing with evacuations and started the investigation. Crews found heavy smoke inside with fire alarms and the call was upgraded to a confirmed structure fire. Tower 35 arrived and started the primary search and Engine 31 found fire in one of the units and rescued one victim and a dog. Battalion 3 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha side in the offensive strategy. The fire was put under control quickly in the kitchen area from a stove top with no extension. One patient was transported to a local hospital with smoke inhalation and the one dog that was rescued was turned over to animal control. Additional information provided by South Metro Fire Rescue
