Limon Camper Fire

On March 18th, 2025 around 21:33 Limon Area Fire Protection District responded to a fire in the 1700 block of Thompson St. Upon arrival, firefighters found two campers on fire. One camper was fully involved in flames, the other camper was burning severely. Crews worked on a semi trailer and a pickup that were also on fire. Firefighters had to cut through a barbed wire fence to gain better access to a field that was beginning to burn due to the campers. The fire was quickly extinguish and the camper was not occupied. Hugo Volunteer Fire Department was also requested to respond for mutual-aid. Additional information provided by Limon Area Fire Protection District
