Loveland Structure Fire

On January 24th, 2025 at 08:20 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority and Thompson Valley EMS responded to a reported residential structure fire on E. 12th St. Loveland Emergency Communications Center (200) received a 911 call reporting smoke inside a residential structure and the caller was not on scene but had received information from a neighbor and verified through her cameras. An unconfirmed structure fire assignment was dispatched, as addition information was received from the caller, the dispatcher upgraded the incident to a first alarm assignment at 08:21. Engine 41 arrived on scene of a two-story duplex structure with nothing showing, the officer completed a 360 and reported smoke inside the structure, the crew from Engine 41 forced open the front door and advanced an attack line to the interior as Ladder 46 was arriving on scene. The ladder crew was assigned to primary search and flow path control. Command was upgraded from the officer of Engine 41 to Battalion 41, Chief 44 was assigned as the attack group supervisor and Chief 48 was made the support group supervisor. Within a few minutes, Engine 41 reported a fire in the kitchen and that they had completed knockdown. Additional crews assisted with water supply, searches, ventilation, and overhaul. Firefighters rescued a dog and two cats, all of which were provided oxygen by fire and EMS crews and transported to a local emergency veterinary center, all were expected to survive.
