On May 30th, 2025 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority closed out a significant chapter at their Fire Training Center by doing one last training evolution at their 1970s era training smokehouse. Thousands of firefighters from across the region have trained in this building through the years. The building was originally built by LFRA volunteer firefighters in the 1970s with the second floor being added in the 1980s again by members of the department. A special call went out to their retired and past members to join them for this final training and burn–down. The building is being replaced by a portion of their new burn building that will be going in service soon.
