Mountain View Vehicle Fire

On August 19th, 2025 in the afternoon Mountain View Fire Rescue responded to reports of a vehicle on fire on County Rd. 10 1/2 in Erie. Truck 206 arrived to a truck on fire and the flames spreading to the trailer. Crews went to work and got the fire under control quickly, limiting the damage. The truck will likely be a total loss but the trailer damage might be able to be repaired. Investigators found the generator in the bed of the pickup is the likely cause of the fire.
