Mountain View Grass Fire

On February 5th, 2025 Mountain View Fire Rescue responded to reports of a grass fire in windy conditions along the east side of I-25 between the interstate and the frontage road just south of Hwy. 52. The winds were blowing quite strong when the call came into dispatch about a fire spotted along the interstate. Firefighters got to work quickly and extinguished the flames within about 15 minutes and were able to limit the spread. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
