
Mountain View Weld County Road 3 Shed Fire
Mountain View Shed Fire
On October 30th, 2025 at 17:45 Mountain View Fire Rescue responded to a small shed fire on Weld County Rd. 3 just outside of Erie. Battalion 201 arrived on scene and Engine 3405 and Truck 206 arriving next to a small structure that was being used to house chickens. The fire was quickly controlled and crews successfully guided all the birds inside to safety. Crews were able to get the flames knocked quickly and begin the overhaul. While there were chickens inside of the structure, they all made it through the ordeal okay with the help of the crew of Engine 204 helping guide them out of the shed. Even the baby chicks that were in the barn came through okay. A fire investigator responded to the scene to start looking into the possible cause of the fire.
