Mountain View Hay Bale Fire

On April 12th, 2025 at 13:20 Mountain View Fire Rescue responded to a reported vegetation fire in the 5600 block of Weld County Rd. 32 in Mead. Engine 203 arrived to a grass fire with hay bales with the homeowner putting water on it from a garden hose and using a front loader. Engine 203 started fire attack with Brush 203. Battalion 201 arrived and assumed command and confirmed hay bales on fire and requested Tender 201. The fire was contained and crews worked on hot sports.
