
Northglenn Clayton Street Garage Fire
North Metro Garage Fire
On August 5th, 2025 at approximately 09:10 North Metro Fire Rescue District and Thornton Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire in the 11000 block of Clayton St. in Northglenn. Dispatch reported that the fire may be located in an attached garage with smoke detector activating a fire alarm in the hallway. Medic 73 arrived to a working garage fire with black smoke from the eves and Engine 73 arrived and reported smoke showing from a two-story residential, secured their own water supply and performed a 360. Engine 73 pulled a 1 3/4 line to the Charlie side and started the primary search with Medic 73. Medic 71 arrived and assigned with medical and Engine 71 pulled a 1 3/4 line off Engine 73 and went to the second floor for the primary search. Battalion 71 arrived and took over command in the offensive strategy and requested a major incident tone. Truck 74 went to the roof with their stick. The fire was put under control within 15 minutes in the garage area and crews started overhaul. The fire was cause from a malfunctioning fan in a freezer that was located in the garage. The home’s smoke alarms alerted the occupants and they were able to quickly evacuate and no injuries were reported. Additional information provided by North Metro Fire Rescue District
