Security Residential Fire

On February 19th, 2025 the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched the Security Fire Department to Lorsen Ranch neighborhood for a possible structure fire. While units were responding they observed a column of black smoke coming from the neighborhood and upgraded the incident to a working structure fire. On arrival, Battalion Chief 102 reported the home’s deck and hot tub were on fire and established command. Rescue 173 pulled an attack line and got a quick knock down of the fire. There was no damage to the home itself and no injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation by the Pikes Peak Region Fire Investigation Unit.
