Thornton Grant Street Structure Fire

On April 20th, 2025 around 19:50 Thornton Fire Department and Adams County Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire at 8901 Grant St. Crews arrived to a large three-story apartment building with fire showing from the 2nd story balcony and crews started an exterior fire attack. A 2nd alarm was initially dispatched but the the fire was quickly contained and Battalion 71 downgraded the alarm. The fire did not spread to the interior and all parties safely evacuated. No injuries were reported and the fire cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by Thornton Fire Department
