Mountain View Semi Tractors Fire

At 21:50 on July 2nd, 2025 Mountain View Fire Rescue was dispatched by Weld County Regional Communications Center for a commercial vehicle fire at a truck stop along Hwy. 119 just west of I-25. Engine 201 arrived to four semi tractors on fire, with three of them fully engulfed. Battalion 201 called in additional apparatus. Firefighters worked for about 20 minutes to get the flames under control, battling explosions from the fuel tanks and tires as they went. The fire was considered out just before 22:30 and crews spent about another hour on scene to mop up any hotspots. No injuries were reported as part of the incident.
