
Westminster Stuart Street Structure Fire
Westminster House Fire
Around 16:46 on April 21st, 2025 Westminster Fire Department, Adams County Fire Rescue and South Adams County Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure on Stuart St. at W. 80th Ave. Westminster Communications Center received multiple callers and some reporting hearing an explosion. A large header could be seen as far away from W. 120th Ave. and Federal Blvd. Battalion 1 arrived on scene in the 7900 block of Stuart St. with a confirmed working fire in two houses and heavy fire from both structures. Engine 1 arrived and was directed to pull a 2 1/2 for fire attack with Medic 1 assisting. Engine 2 secured a 5″ supply line to Engine 1 and Truck 2 set up for ladder pipe operations. Engine 12 pulled a 1 3/4 line for fire attack while SAM 1 performed a 360. After securing the water supply Engine 2 pulled another 1 3/4 line to side Charlie and Engine 3 was assigned to pull a 2 1/2 line for fire attack. Medic 3 handled rehab and medical while Truck 11 performed a primary search after securing a separate water supply. Tower 24 was directed to the front for their staffing. Later in the incident Engine 11 and Engine 5 were called to assist. Extensive overhaul was conducted. 3 injuries were reported as minor and 2 cats in both homes perished in the fire.
