On October 24th, 2026 Adams County Fire Rescue held the fourth open house at Station 10, 7980 Elmwood Lane in Denver. This event also served as the grand opening for Station 10, which had been used for several years as office space for the fire prevention team and for reserve storage. Currently Statin 10 houses a medical unit with plans to add an engine company as staffing becomes available. Neighbors were able to come and have lunch at the station, as well as younger visitors getting an early start on Halloween, and watch rope rescue and car extrication demonstrations. Crews were on hand to explain the roles of the Heavy Rescue unit, Hazmat, and Wildland Firefighting. More info about the upcoming events go to the 5280Fire Calendar.
