In July of 2026, Arvada Fire Protection District held a Community Tour Series “On Shift With Your Fire Chief” at several stations. The community was invited to meet up with Arvada Fire Chief Kirk Lock at Station 52 (July 9th, 2026), Station 51 (July 10th, 2026), Station 54 (July 13th, 2026), Station 56 (July 22nd, 2026) and Station 57 (July 23rd, 2026). These casual drop-in events give residents the opportunity to meet with the fire chief and ask questions about the fire department. Firefighters from each of the stations were on hand with info about their station and the area they protect and provide as well as some of the current issues impacting the fire district and the challenges that the fire department is facing.
