Arvada Vegetation Fire
On March 25th, 2026 at 14:28 the Arvada Fire Protection District Engine 58 and Brush 60 was dispatched to a possible grass fire fire in the area of W. 64th Parkway by Hwy. 93. Battalion 53 arrived on scene of a small slow-moving vegetation fire burning up-slope in dry fuels on the east side of Hwy. 93 just north of W. 64th Parkway. Brush 58 arrived and started fire attack on the south flank and Engine 58 started on the north flank with Brush 60. Brush 58 advised that a cell tower and a related single structure with several vehicles and staff was threatened and command requested additional units to respond. Engine 56 arrived and set-up with water supply operations. Firefighters were assigned to hose lines and hand tools to extinguish the fire. The fire was quickly put under controlled at 14:53 and crews soon conducted an extended overhaul on hot spots. The fire burned two acres and the cause is under investigation.
