The week of January 26th, 2026 Arvada Fire Protection District held their annual ice rescue training for all of the shifts in the pond off I-70 and Ward Rd. in Wheat Ridge. All members went through the training to keep their skills sharp and for certification. In their ice rescue suits, firefighters performed a self-rescue as well as rescues with a sling and board.
