Adams County Exterior Panel Fire

At 17:00 on May 6th, 2026 Adams County Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 6300 block of Winona St. in Arvada. Engine 12 arrived to find fire from the exterior of the home and pulled 1 3/4 for fire control. Crews found fire from an exterior electrical panel and requested Xcel to the scene. Medic 12 pulled a 1 3/4 to the Alpha side with Engine 11 for primary search and checked for extension. Battalion 11 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy and requested a major incident tone. Truck 11 arrived and assigned to assist with fire control and Medic 1 as medical. The fire was put under control quickly and crews worked on overhaul. ACFR investigators determined the fire to be electrical failure isolated to the exterior panel. No injures were reported.
