Greeley Fire Rescue 105 Push-In Ceremony
On August 14th, 2026 at approximately 10:00 AM, at Greeley Fire Station 5, the Greeley Fire Department placed Rescue 105 into frontline service. This 2026 walk-Around Heavy Rescue was built by Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, Wisconsin and joins the Greeley Fire Department as the third support apparatus delivered in 2026. This apparatus will be capable of responding to normal calls for service, as well as technical rescue incidents, motor vehicle accidents, structure fires and is essentially, a giant toolbox on wheels. This apparatus being placed into frontline service pushes the former Ladder 105 into reserve status, opening it up for use as a reserve by Truck 101 and Truck 107 or Rescue 105 if necessary.
Similar to the Push-In Ceremony for Truck 101 and Truck 107, held on March 24th, 2026, this event featured speeches from several members of department leadership, anointing of the apparatus ahead of it’s in service time with a prayer of protection over the apparatus and the firefighters it will serve, followed up by a wash down and push-in, officially marking Rescue 105 in service.
