Aurora Structure Fire
Around 07:10 on January 30th, 2026 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 15000 block of E. Caspian Place. Aurora 911 advised that caller reporting fire in the back bedroom and possibly trapped inside the residence. Ladder 8 arrived to a working fire from a two-story single-family with light smoke from the 2nd floor window and started the primary search to the 2nd floor and Engine 7 pulled 1 3/4 for fire attack. EMS 1 arrived and assumed command and upgraded the call to a working structure fire. Engine 6 assigned with the water supply to Engine 7, Ladder 6 with the primary search on the 1st floor and Engine 9 to pulled a back-up line off Engine 7 to the Alpha side. The reported trapped party was located on the front porch and all searches were completed and negative. The fire was put under control within 10 minutes of the initial dispatch. Four residents of the home were evaluated by medics on scene. Two of the residents were transported to local hospitals, one in critical condition and the other with minor injuries. A second floor bedroom sustained minor damage with no extension into the rest of the residence. None of the occupants will be displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
