Aurora Residential Structure Fire

On June 13th, 2026 at 20:38 Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 1600 block of N. Dayton St. Engine 1 arrived on scene of a working residential structure from the Alpha-Bravo side of a single-story single-family started fire attack and secured their own water supply. Engine 2 arrived and pulled a 2nd line in and Ladder 2 started the primary search with a possible person trapped inside the basement. Crews found the fire in the kitchen area which was put under control quickly. All primary and secondary searches were clear and negative. One individual was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. 6 kittens were found and were are safe. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
