Aurora Outside Fire

Around 16:00 on April 19th, 2026 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to numerous reports of a fire possibly threatening a mobile home near E. Colfax Ave. and N. Sable Blvd. Ladder 5 was already in the area after clearing a call and was first on scene. Ladder 5 accessed the fire from the Pacesetter Motel and used water cans to slow the fire spread, and an additional Engine and Brush were requested. Engine 5 arrived and pulled a 1 3/4 crosslay and quickly controlled the fire burning a wood fence, debris and vegetation. Engine 3 assisted with water supply and Brush 3 accessed the open space and used a booster line for mop up. No injuries occurred, no structures were damaged and the fire appeared to be accidental.
