Lakewood South Oak Street Fire
West Metro Kitchen Fire

On March 20th, 2026 at 14:08 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a possible structure fire in the 400 block of S. Oak St. in Lakewood. Medic 5 arrived to a small one-story duplex with smoke coming from the kitchen and started the investigation. Engine 4 arrived and pulled a 1 3/4 with with Medic 2. Engine 3 arrived and set-up for the water supply and crews found small working fire in the kitchen of one unit. District 2 arrived and assumed command. The fire was quickly extinguished with no extensions, and fans used for ventilation. No injuries were reported. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
