Lakewood West 6th Ave Vehicle Fire

On February 7th, 2026 at approximately 23:50 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire on W. 6th Ave. near Garrison St. in Lakewood. Engine 1 arrived on scene and found a smoking and flaming vehicle on the shoulder right before the Garrison St. bridge. Engine 3 arrived to assist with traffic safety and extinguishment. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading. No injuries were reported. This incident is under investigation.
