The North Metro Fire Rescue District held their annual open house and cookout at Station 61, 1275 Midway Blvd. in Broomfield on October 4th, 2026 and as part of the Fire Prevention week. The community came out to enjoy lunch, meet up with first responders, fire engine tours, CPR education, kitchen safety and and try their hand at using a practice fire extinguisher. For those who were there near the end they even got to see the crew go out on a call. For more information on upcoming events, check out the 5280Fire Calendar.
