Community Wildfire Protection Plan

West Metro Fire Rescue held a Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) Open House on February 24th, 2026 for members of the community to gather information and to give feedback on wildfire mitigation, safety and related topics. There were several maps and other documentation to review. West Metro Fire Rescue also provided pizza and drinks. U.S. Forest Service, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, CERT, City of Lakewood Public Works, Lakewood Park Rangers and others were on hand at the event.
