West Metro Vegetation Fire

On June 13th, 2026 at 13:58 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a small vegetation fire on the north side of W. Quincy Ave. at the intersection of S. Youngfield St. in the Friendly Hills neighborhood. Crews arrived to a small, slow moving vegetation fire in light winds from the west in light fuel, which allowed fire crews to extinguish the fire quickly. Jefferson County Sheriff deputies were on scene using fire extinguishers prior to the arrival of fire crews. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
