Westminster Brush Fire

On April 8th, 2012 Westminster Fire Department with mutual-aid from North Metro Fire Rescue was alerted to a grass fire at W. 128th Ave. & Huron St. Engine 6 arrived in the area and reported a fire behind the Casa Estates Mobile Home Park at 860 W. 132nd Ave. which was growing rapidly in the Big Dry Creek Open Space and crowning into cottonwoods and cattails towards homes. Engine 4 arrived and set up water supply to Engine 6, and Engine 6 conducted fire attack from the far end of the Mobile Home Park with aerial operations. Attack 4 attacked from the south using bike paths with Attack 2. The fire was quickly brought under control within 40 minutes. No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
