2nd Alarm Commercial Fire

At 05:21 on November 26th, 2012 Poudre Fire Authority was alerted to a commercial structure fire at the Valero One Stop, 1501 W. Elizabeth Ave. in Fort Collins. A 911 caller reported that flames and smoke showing from a building. Engine 2 arrived on scene they found fire within a one-story gas station building. Immediate action was taken to contain the fire within this building, then from spreading within the building itself. There is a large canopy structure above the building and gasoline pumps within thirty feet on two sides. The business was closed at the time and nobody was found inside. Crews were able to bring the fire under control in about 15 minutes. Fire damage was limited mostly to the northwest portion of the building. There was heat and smoke damage throughout. PFA and Fort Collins Police Department investigators worked to determine the origin and cause, this fire is considered suspicious.
