Trooper Honored in Training

The Fort Collins Police Department Honor Guard with Poudre Fire Authority, Longmont Fire Department and others trained for the fallen on September 14th, 2012. After a week of training Fort Collins Color Guard graduated new members in service with a training funeral to put what they all have learned into use. The Funeral was a complete decorated ceremony which included a 21 gun salute, honor watch and ringing of the last call bell. The funeral was used to honor South Carolina Trooper Andrew “A.J.” Stocks who was killed in the line of duty on September 9th, 2008 when he was involved in a traffic accident with a garbage truck on his way to an emergency call. He was transported to a local hospital where he later passed away do to his injuries. The Troopers family attended and was presented the colors.
