West 103rd Dr. Chimney Fire

At 18:30 on December 30th, 2012 Westminster Fire Department was alerted to a chimney fire in the 11400 block of W. 103rd Dr. and spreading to the roof. Battalion 3 arrived and advised of a 2-story single family dwelling with fire showing through the roof. Engine 4 arrived and took a supply line to Engine 2. Truck 2 assigned as primary search with crews from Medic 2, which proved negative, and also checked for any extension. Engine 4 pulled a second line in on the Alpha-Delta corner of the structure. Engine 5 arrived and was assigned as RIC. The fire was put out at 18:58. Arvada Fire Protection District was called in as mutual-aid, but was cancelled before getting on scene. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
