Westminster Haz-Mat

Westminster Fire Department responded to a hazardous material call in the 5000 block of W. 88th Ave. on February 26th, 2012. It was reported that a person cleaning the a pool at a hotel inhaled fumes from the cleaner used to clean the pool. A full Haz-Mat response was requested with Arvada Fire Protection District also responding. Crews did a safety check to make sure no one else in the hotel was in danger, and tests were conducted on scene and was deemed stable after about 2 hours with units going back in service with no major evacuation noticed. One patient was transported to a local hospital.
