Working House Fire

At 00:50 on December 2nd, 2013 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a possible structure fire in the 6800 block of Marshall St. Truck 54 arrived to a 2-story single family residential with fire and smoke showing, pulled a line in for fire attack in the offensive strategy, and the house appears to be vacant. Battalion 51 arrived, assumed command and assigned Engine 55 to established a water supply to Truck 54 and secure the utilities. Engine 51 arrived and assisted Truck 54 to pull ceiling and open up the attic, and Medic 51 assigned as medical group. Crews inside advised of a collapse and command pulled all companies out of the structure. The fire was placed under control with an extended overhaul. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by Arvada Fire Protection District
