Brian Schimpf Memorial Service was held on December 12th, 2013 at the Denver First Church of the Nazarene. Over 100 EMS, fire and police agencies from across Colorado honored Brain in a line-of-duty funeral service. Brian worked as an instructor at the Denver Health Paramedic School, and his most recent employment was EMS Captain for Grand County EMS. Brian was involved in a accident, returning from a structure fire at Beaver Village around 2:00 in the morning on September 7th, 2012. Brain was travelling on Hwy. 40 on Red Dirt Hill when the accident occurred. On November 20th, 2018 following a surgery related to injuries sustained from the accident, Brian was placed on life support due to complications with the surgery, never regained consciousness and died on November 23rd, 2013.
