West Metro Apartment Fire

At 18:24 on February 3rd, 2013 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a confirmed commercial structure fire at 1189 S. Beech Dr. in Green Mountain. Engine 4 arrived to a 3-story multi-family dwelling with flames from the top floor through the roof, set-up the water supply and started defensive operations. Medic 12 arrived and stretched a 2nd line off Engine 4, Rescue 8 assigned to search and Tower 3 to the attic. District 2 arrived and took over command and assigned Tower 10 as roof ops with ventilation as Tower 3 worked the attic. Crews found fire in the kitchen area due to unattended cooking, and rescued one family dog from the structure. One party was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Additional information was provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
