Lakewood House Fire

Just after midnight on June 12th, 2013 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a confirmed structure fire at 1340 S. Foothills Dr. in Green Mountain. Rescue 4 arrived to a working fire in a single-story residential with heavy smoke and fire showing and started fire attack with Medic 4. Engine 3 laid in from the plug and advanced a line for fire attack on the Charlie side. Rescue 4 advised that the resident got out safety, and Engine 4 pulled a second line in. Engine 8 arrived and assigned to primary search, and found fire extending to the attic space. District 2 arrived and assumed command, and assigned Tower 3 for roof operations and Medic 8 as medical group. Crews got the fire quickly out and started overhaul.
