West Metro Lightning Strike

At 13:30 on June 24th, 2103 West Metro Fire Rescue Engine 9 & Engine 4 was dispatched to smoke investigation in the area of Bear Creek Blvd. & W. Yale Ave. by the Fox Hollow Golf Course in Lakewood. Engine 9 arrived in the area and found a two-story single family home with light showing and updated the address to 2845 S. Deframe Court. Upon further investigation Engine 9 advised dispatch of flames showing from the roof and requested a first alarm response for a working fire. Engine 4 arrived and set-up for fire control on the second floor and Engine 10 established the water supply off W. Amherst Way. Crews found a possible lightning strike fire in the Bravo side wall of the second floor and light smoke in the attic. The fire was declared under control at 13:46 with all searches proved negative and no injuries reported. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
