Old Town Restaurant Fire

On August 3rd, 2014 at 09:25 Poudre Fire Authority was alerted to a possible fire at 233 Linden St. Engine 1 arrived to heavy smoke showing from a two-story commercial building in Old Town. Upon further investigation firefighters found active fire in multiple walls and between floors of the building. Holes were cut in floors and walls to gain access to fire spreading within void spaces.  After a lengthy attack firefighters were able to find and extinguish all hidden fire. Business offices and a next-door building were threatened and a 2nd alarm was requested. Crews were able to keep the fire from impacting the next door buildings. The entire building suffered some smoke damage; fire damage was limited to the rear portion of the restaurant.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
