Large Railroad Ties Fire

On April 16th, 2014 around 20:00 Longmont Fire Department responded to the area of the Longmont Wastewater Plant for a large stack of railroad ties on fire. Crews arrived to heavy fire which also burned through several power lines, that left a large portion of eastern Longmont without power. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
