Wheat Ridge Commercial Fire

At 21:05 on December 13th, 2014 Arvada Fire Protection District was alerted to a commercial structure fire at 4900 Iris St. in Wheat Ridge. Dispatch advised units that 911 caller reports dark smoke coming from the building. Engine 52 arrived to working fire in a single story medium size building and pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack in the offensive strategy, and made entry on the Alpha side. Battalion 51 arrived and took over command, conducted a 360 with smoke showing from the roof vents on the Charlie side. Engine 51 arrived and established a water supply to Engine 52. Truck 54 split crews into squad and truck, and Medic 55 as medical. Crews got control of the fire inside at 21:28 with all searches proved negative. No injuries and the fire is under investigation.
