Adams County Structure Fire

At approximately 07:30 on August 22nd, 2015 Adams County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported structure fire with heavy smoke at 320 Elbert Way. Mutual aid was requested from several neighboring departments. Units arrived on scene and quickly went to containing and extinguishing the fire. The fire appears to have started on the back deck and spread to the house. Firefighters were able to get a male occupant and a dog out safely. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
