Fully Involved Garage Fire

Just at 22:00 on April 26th, 2015 Arvada Fire Protection District was alerted to a possible house on fire at Ridge Rd. & Garrison St. Engine 52 arrived at the 5300 block of Garrison St. to a fully involved garage fire extending to the house, trees and several vehicles, started deck gun operations and declared a defensive strategy. Engine 52 pulled a 2 1/2 line in for fire attack on the Alpha side, Engine 56 established a water supply to Engine 52. Battalion 52 arrived on scene and assumed command, assigned Rescue 54 to pull a 2nd 2 1/2 line off Engine 52. Truck 56 split into squad & truck for primary search & utilities, and Medic 51 set-up as medical. Crews were able to get the fire under control with extension into the living area, and started an extended overhaul. All searched proved negative and there was one reported injury. The cause is under investigation.
