Platteville Gilcrest Open House

The Platteville-Gilcrest Fire Protection District held their annual open house at Station 1 in Gilcrest on October 10th, 2015. The community came out to meet with firefighters, learn about fire safety, tour the station, check out the apparatus, and enjoy food. LaSalle Fire Protection District also participated in the event.

The public was invited out to meet with firefighters, tour the station, check out the apparatus, enjoy lunch and learn about fire safety. The event included fire and EMS demonstrations, a smokehouse education trailer, hands only CPR, a bike rodeo and obstacle course. The Colorado State Patrol, Med Evac (Reserve) and the Weld County Sheriff’s Office also participated in the event.
