Arvada Basement Fire

At 19:29 on April 5th, 2016 Arvada Fire Protection District was alerted to a possible residential structure fire in the 6100 block of Moore St. Dispatch advised that a single 911 caller reporting smoke and flames coming from the basement and everyone was evacuated. Truck 56 arrived to a one-story home with smoke showing from the front door in the offensive strategy, and confirmed a working basement fire. Truck 56 split crews to squad and truck, and found heavy fire in the Charlie side of the basement, Engine 51 assigned to assist Truck 56 for fire attack. Medic 56 assisted in the water supply and Engine 53 secured the utilities. The fire was placed under control at 19:49 and crews started an extended overhaul.
