Arvada Garage Fire

At 21:36 on July 25th, 2016 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a garage fire in the 8000 block of Oak St. with 911 caller reporting smoke in the garage and stated they were evacuating. Engine 53 arrived to a single-story ranch style house with a working fire in the garage. Engine 53 made entry through the Alpha side man door, Chief 52 arrived and assumed command with the offensive strategy. Truck 56 split crews as Squad for utilities and Truck for search. Crews gave an all-clear was given with no extension found. The fire was declared out at 21:54, and crews started overhaul in the garage. The homeowners were alerted by smoke alarms inside and were able to get out of the home safely with no injuries. The fire cause in the garage is under investigation.
