Denver Commercial Fire

On July 14th, 2016 just before 11:00 Denver Fire Department was dispatched to a possible fire at 800 W. 8th Ave. in the Lincoln Park area. Crews arrived to smoke showing from a warehouse type building. Engine 1 laid in from W. 8th Ave. & Inca St. and pulled a 1 3/4 line in, Engine 23 secured a water supply. Engine 11 laid down the alley from Santa Fe Dr. & Inca St. and pulled a 2 1/2 to the backdoor. Chief 5 arrived and assumed command with smoke showing from the roof, and assigned Truck 4 for roof ops. Crews reported light smoke throughout the first floor and quickly conducted a primary search which proved negative. Engine 11 advanced a line to the roof and quickly controlled a fire inside a vent.
