2nd Alarm House Fire

Just after Midnight on November 13th, 2016 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a confirmed structure fire at 1172 S. Owens St. in unincorporated Jefferson County. Engine 8 arrived to smoke and flames showing from multi-story residential structures and an outbuilding, assumed command and requested a second alarm. Tower 8 arrived ans spit crews with primary search and roof ops on the Alpha structure, Engine 3 established a water supply to Engine 8 from Arizona Ave. and Owens St. Engine 4 pulled a line in for structure protection on the Bravo side structure. District 2 arrived and assumed command, and assigned SAM 1 as safety. Engine 3 pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack on the Alpha structure, Medic 3 was assigned as medical, and Tower 2 as RIT. An all clear was called at 00:26 and crews were able to get the fire under control at 00:48. Fire originated from a storage shed between the Alpha and Bravo structures, and fire was accelerated structures. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
