Lakewood Strip Mall Fire

At 22:36 on June 21st, 2016 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at 6461 W. Colfax Ave. in Lakewood. Engine 1 arrived to a working fire with smoke showing from a single-story strip mall. Engine 1 pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack in the offensive strategy on the Alpha side. Medic 11 assisted Engine 1 with primary search and checked for extension. Engine 16 arrived and established a water supply, and ten assigned as RIT. Tower 2 arrived as roof ops, and Engine 2 checked for extension in the attic of the exposures with Engine 3, Medic 1 and Tower 8. Crews got the fire knocked quickly with no extension found, no injuries and the cause is unknown.
