Lakewood House Fire

Around 21:30 on February 10th, 2016 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 12600 block of W. Asbury Pl. in Lakewood. Engine 4 arrived and found a working fire with smoke showing from the front door of a two-story home, and began fast attack with a 1 /34 line in the offensive strategy. Engine 8 secured a water supply, and Medic 9 pulled a second line to the basement. District 2 arrived and took over command on the Alpha side. Engine 8 & Tower 8 arrived and assigned to conducted a primary search. Engine 4 encountered zero visibility and hoarding conditions inside with no obvious location of the fire. Tower 10 was assigned to give a roof report, and Tower 3 assisted searching the upstairs and checking the attic space. Engine 4 found fire in the kitchen area which was quickly controlled with no extension found. No injuries reported and the cause is under investigation.
